“Salt and copper” - is a tribute born from something deeply personal.
As a redhead growing up, I often felt different in ways that weren’t always celebrated - I was called names that made me feel “too odd” or “too much”.
This photo series became a quiet act of healing. It brings together children - all redheads, all so different - by the sea, a space where light meets colors, and the difference feels like magic.
The images are simple and soft, using natural tones and light to let the children just be - no perfection, no living up to expectations. Freckles, curls, genuine smiles, quiet gazes - they all glow in their own way.
Through this story I wanted to honor that glow.
To say: what once felt like “too much” is exactly what makes us unique and unforgettable.
