When Pitti Bimbo invited us to their 89th edition this past week, we had no idea what was in store. This was our first time attending the show, and it was out of this world! There were over 10,000 visitors and 5,100 buyers visiting over 600 brands at the show. We met so many amazing people and brands we have worked with in the magazine for years. Check out what we did each day below and check out our Instagram highlight “Pitti Bimbo 89” for live videos and stories from the show!
Day 1: Day 1 started off with an amazing fashion show featuring children’s fashion from Spain including: Abel & Lula, Amaya, Boboli, Mayoral, and Tuc Tuc. The trends we saw from Spain were colorful feathers and jungle prints, camouflage, fruits and florals, sheer embellished fabrics and pastels. We then went inside the Main Pavilion and visited so many brands on all 3 levels!
We had an amazing lunch and gelato in the press room and then attended the Manila Grace fashion show. We loved the interactive runway with the kids blowing bubbles and holding light up balloons. Trends we saw from Manila Grace were lots of red white and blue, eyelet fabrics, and lightweight asymmetrical dresses and skirts in gorgeous fabrics with a high sheen.
Next up- the Il Gufo fashion show. The was one of the most different, amazing fashion shows created. The kids ran down the grass runway in a greenhouse having fun with wheelbarrows, planting seeds and watering plants. It was a great way to see the kids in action and how the clothes moved with them. A refreshing break from your normal runway.
We ended the night with the incredible Monnalisa fashion show. We were greeted with my all time favorite Mickey Mouse statue and loads of miniature fruit and delicious treats. The clothing was adorned with large bows, Disney designs (my FAVORITE), polka dots, florals, cherries and metallics!
Stay tuned for a Youtube video coming with more coverage from the show!
