Hooligans’ Style | Pirapír
Ever notice how beautiful a piece of ribbon looks when it’s free to blow around in the wind? Pirapír, meaning “ribbon” or “to flutter when hanging loose” in the Philippine dialect called Ilocano, describes our approach to design. When creativity flourishes or “flutters”, that is when you see just how amazing it can be.
These pieces are from our SS16 Reminiscent Collection: an ode to familiar and vintage memories and the making of new ones. Each piece reflects similar pieces that were handmade for my siblings and I throughout our childhood in the late 70s/early 80s. We wanted to share how styles can transcend decades.
