Healthy Hooligans | Frozen Raspberry Bon Bons
Frozen Raspberry Bon Bons by Mai Kakish
These are way too easy to make I can hardly call it a recipe. I make these once or twice a week and they disappear way too fast. That’s why I want to share them with you. They are a perfect treat for the little ones on hot summer days. My kids eat them as a snack and sometimes for breakfast. Bon Bons for breakfast who wouldn’t like that!!! The sweet raspberries combined with sweet, creamy and tangy yogurt are a perfect combo, but then freeze them for a few hours and you got yourself a real treat.
½ cup Greek yogurt
6 ounce fresh raspberries
¼ tsp pure vanilla extract
1 tbs of honey (you can add more to taste…shh I always add more)
Wash your raspberries and allow them to dry on a paper towel. In a small bowl mix the yogurt, honey and vanilla extract until combined and smooth.
To assemble you will need:
A piping bag …but hey you don’t need to be that fancy, a sandwich clear bag will do just fine.
I used a mini muffin tin to hold the raspberries, but use whatever fits your freezer you can also use an ice cube mold. Okay we are almost done. Add the sweet yogurt mixture to the piping bag. Snitch the tip with scissors and then fill in the raspberries with the yogurt mix. Place the raspberries in your mini muffin tin and then freeze for a few hours. Once frozen transfer the bon bons to a freezer Ziploc bag… Enjoy….
Here is the hard part … you will need to exercise some patience here….these will take few hours to freeze but promise once they are ready you will have yourself a very tasty cool treat. That will satisfy both your sweet tooth and cool you down. These also make a perfect 4th of July treats.
